| Relationships are a wonderful thing. Whether that be the relationship between a mother and son, brother and sister, husband and wife, college roommates, co-workers, etc.
God has brought different people in and out of my life thru the different experiences I've had and many have left a lasting impression, helping me become who I am. Some I see often and others are far away, but it is relationships that make my life thrive.
Parents who never stop believing. Amazing siblings who love me unconditionally and never hesitate to come to my defense. A highschool friend who continually shows me what it means to be a godly woman in all aspects of life. A lifelong friend that I see far less than I would like, but knows me in a way no one else ever will. An old boyfriend who reminded me not to be so serious, but to really enjoy life. My New York friend who always wants to know the "little" details of my life and has truly shown me what love, grace, and forgiveness mean. My Canadian brothers that never cease to make me laugh. An old college roommate who has shown unwavering faith and strength during times of tremendous grief. The friend with refreshing honesty that compels me to care. The roommate that can understand my frustrations and struggles.
Relationships require risk, some more than others. But for me, it is one risk I am willing to take. Fear can get in the way because humans are involved, therefore pain can be a consequence. But I agree with Alfred Lord Tennyson "'Tis better to have loved and lost, Than never to have loved at all."
Relationships are amazing and challenging. They require risk and vulnerability. They are full of joy and pain. They are simple and confusing. They are lifelong or brief moments. They are selfish and selfless. They are full of love and they break our hearts. But they are what make life beautiful.

| Facebook has been getting the best of me lately, but I do miss Xanga. Highlights from the last couple months: 1. Surprising my sister at her new home in Texas... I love my sister!
2. Redecorating my office... new boss = new decor.

3. Becoming a student again.
4. Realizing that God chooses to use me despite my human effort... for that I am thankful! | | |
